FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
FIND OUT WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions from those interested in our independent living neighborhood. Read on to find out more about Salina Presbyterian Manor. If there’s a question we haven’t answered here, contact us today.

When is the right time to move into an Independent Living community?

Seniors often reach a point where they think about rightsizing. Their house may be more than they want or, for some, able to handle. They might start thinking it would be fun to sell the lawn mower and move somewhere maintenance-free. The ideal time to move into an independent living community is when you feel the itch to change things up, but when you are still active enough to enjoy the lifestyle benefits of a senior living community.

What are my Independent Living options?

We offer beautiful one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as two-bedroom townhomes with optional one- or two-car garage.

Do you have garages or additional storage?

We do not offer additional storage, but we can direct you to convenient storage units nearby. In addition, we can provide expert assistance in rightsizing. A move of this kind usually requires anticipating future needs and making some tough decisions about furnishings and possessions. In truth, you most likely spend the majority of your time in just a few rooms of your house. We can help you in planning. We’ll work with you personally to ensure the choices you make are right for you and consistent with the way you want live.

How do your fees work? Is it a buy-in or a monthly fee?

Our campus offers an entrance fee with a lower monthly fee option and higher monthly accommodation option without an entrance fee. Monthly fees begin at $1,640 with an entrance fee, or $2,886 per month with the monthly accommodation fee option, depending on the residence selected. Paying an entrance fee up front is like an investment that secures your money and provides an ongoing guaranteed benefit of having lower monthly costs. We recommend you speak with your financial adviser about the best option for you.

Do you take Medicaid?

Medicaid is not available in independent living.

What types of security do you offer?

Our doors are locked between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m., and a team member regularly walks the buildings during those hours. Local law enforcement performs nightly on-campus patrols.

Do you offer a meal plan?

Dining is an important component of our culture at Salina Presbyterian Manor. One meal a day is included for apartment residents, but we offer flexible meal plans with seasonal and always-available menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you can choose what you’d like to eat. Select the dining packages that fit your lifestyle.

Is there parking?

Yes, garage parking is available in the townhomes. A limited amount of covered parking is available for independent living residents. A monthly fee applies.

Are pets allowed?

We do allow dogs and cats in our independent living townhomes.

May my son or daughter live with me?

Adult children can live with you on a case-by-case basis if they are age 65 or older and meet application requirements.

Do you have a pool?

No, we don’t have a pool at our community.
